Todd Energy commissioned Clelands Construction to build an all new facility near the Taranaki energy plant, with MaxClad supplying the building envelope materials.
The cross-laminated timber (CLT) building features WrapShield SA Self-Adhered WRB/Air-barrier membrane with Rockwool & Rodenhouse fasteners. The use of CLT and high-performance materials supplied by MaxClad significantly reduced construction time compared to traditional steel and masonry construction methods.
Overall, the project took 14 months to complete and was delivered on time and within budget. The new facility features IL4 importance level and will be able to withstand high wind events and a significant earthquake without interruption to facility operations.
